Yes, I’m Filipino :) My skin’s not as light as it may seem and right now, due to my summer class (which requires us to go on the field and bask under the sun), my skin has become more tanned. Recommendations on how to lighten skin? As much as possible, stay away from the root cause of skin darkening, the sun. But of course, we can’t stay indoors all the time so I suggest that you use sunscreen with at least spf 50 everytime you go outside. Also, skin lightening lotions gradually help in making your skin fairer, just as long as you use them regularly. Look for ones that have gentle formulations so that you don’t get adverse effects from them. Exfoliating also helps since it removes dead skin cells, revealing a fresh layer of skin. Just make sure that you don’t exfoliate all the time (twice or thrice a week is enough) so that your skin would have enough time to recover after exfoliation. Results may not be as instantly noticeable as you want them to be but if you do your regimens religiously, not only will your skin turn lighter eventually, you’re also protecting your skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun. Hope this helps! :)
Hi! :) Right now I’m not using bb cream for my base make up. I’m currently using Clinique’s perfectly real foundation. It works well for me because I have very sensitive skin and it doesn’t break me out. Thank you :)
Thank you and you’re welcome :)

Basically, the look consists of strong eyes and a bright red pout.

Hello :) In that tutorial, I wore the Geo Princess Mimi Almond Brown circle lenses :)
Hi! Thank you very much! :)
I use a Nikon D3100 camera. It’s a great entry-level DSLR :)
Thank you :”) and you’re welcome :)
Hey, guys! Today, I’m going to review the CatalinaGeo Color Capsule Makeup Base by Lami Cosmetics :)
Product Description:
“This newly developed product is non-stimulus and contains Royalherbsome which is very resilient and is a botanical ingredient. It can make your face color naturally after use. It also contains important ingredients for sun protection.”
Usually, I don’t use a makeup base before I apply my BB cream or foundation. So, I got curious when I received this product.
This is what the product looks like :)

very cute and interesting packaging. It’s not everyday that I see cosmetics that are presented in this form ~

Here is the ingredient list. I was a little worried because Mineral Oil was one of the main ingredients of this makeup base and I have sensitive skin.

No.4 Violet- This is used to offset shallowness and to give the face a healthy glow because of its antidulling effect. It’s a great pick-me-up for the face and will help tone down yellowness of the skin. it’s ideal for people with olive or yellow complexions.

It comes with a pump that dispenses the product well.

When I first pumped some product out, it kinda felt grainy and it looked hard to blend. But, after some time of blending, it was all absorbed by my skin. I didn’t like the scent of this product. But, good thing it fades off after some time.

You can also mix it with your BB cream or Foundation before you apply it on your face. I applied BB cream on one side of the back of my hand and on the other, I applied BB cream w/ the makeup base.

The side with the makeup base looked more matte and well blended. I pressed a 2-ply napkin on the back of my hand to test which side would last more.

More bb cream residue is seen in the side that is pressed on the part without the makeup base.

I also left a drop of the makeup base on another piece of napkin and I waited for 30 mins. I can say that the product doesn’t contain too much oil, unlike other makeup bases found in the market.

Here is a photo of my face. I applied the makeup base on one side. See the difference. The makeup base evened out my skin tone and reduced the appearance of dark circles and blemishes. It also brightened up my dull skin.
I left the product on my face for 4 hours without blotting it with oil control film. My face became oily, especially on my T-zone area. But unlike when I use my BB cream without any makeup base, It would probably just take 2-3 hours before my face starts oiling up. So, I could say that this product did a pretty decent job in keeping my face shine-free.

Here’s the breakdown of my review:

This makeup base would be perfect for those who want to brighten up and even out their complexions. Although it didn’t help much in keeping my makeup from melting off my face, I can still say that it is a pretty decent makeup base because of its brightening effect. Though, I wouldn’t recommend it for those who have oily and sensitive skin.
Thanks for reading my review! :D ‘til next time ;)
